Kateřina Matěchová graduated from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, in the studio of K.O.V. under the supervision of Vratislav Karel Novák and Eva Eisler. Together with Karla Olšáková, she founded the Dechberoucí studio.
In 2008, she was nominated for the Czech Grand Design Award in the Discovery of the Year category.
