Republic Tray SILVER AND WHITE | QUBUS

QUBUS

And this is the beautiful land ...
The tray originally called Heimweh (desire for home) was already part of Maxim Velčovský's diploma thesis. It represents a specific souvenir in the shape of the Czech Republic, which freely follows the work of the Finnish designer Alvar Aalto, specifically his series of glass organic vases from the 1930s. It literally became a symbol of national identity, although its Arpian-pure form made it almost impossible to place anything in it so that the resulting impression would not go wrong. That is why it often remains empty, like design as a function of free art.
