Self-watering container? A great appeal for plant lovers. Growing them has never been easier. Houseplants, flowers, herbs or less demanding vegetables will thrive in it.
The original design combining wood and plastic was created by the leading Czech designer Jiří Pelcl. Wooden feet allow easy access to plants and a pleasant viewing height. The self-watering container is a system of two superimposed parts, where the lower part serves as a water reservoir, in the upper part there is a substrate with plants. Water is fed into the substrate using a textile wick. As the plants grow larger, their roots will grow down and they will be able to take the water themselves. The air gap between the floors ensures the necessary air supply to the roots.
Thanks to this principle, plants have just as much water as they need.
