A candlestick in the form of a porcelain toy doll's head created for Qubus by Maxim Velčovský in 2006 reacts to the rapid obsolescence of design. In 2009, Little Joseph was part of the Studio Qubus exhibition called Underground Souvenirs London Design Week. Here, however, time is an added value. Not only does a morbid hole on the top of the head "grow" with increasing wax, but the candlestick ages with its owner and only with use acquires a form that is natural and desirable.
