Petr Nikl's book was created during his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, in 1986, as his first author's book. At that time, Peter had a very strange dream about a lion. While other students devoted themselves to the obligatory drawing of nudes on canvas and plaster sculptures, Petr wrote on an old Consul typewriter, provided with mysterious linocuts, and finally bound himself several copies of his very first book. The mystical story of hunters lurking in the night forest for the arrival of a pack of lions is a kind of initiation story of the son of one of the hunters, who dares to unite with the lion.
